What the game stores on your device
The game saves your progress, card collection and settings on your device so you can pick up where you left off. A copy is also kept online: see the next section.
Online save
So that you don't lose your game and can switch phones, the game creates an anonymous game account on its own: a random identifier and a secret code, with no email, no name and no link to your Apple or Google account. On iPhone, these two values are also stored in your iCloud Keychain (at Apple), to find your game again on a new device.
The game then sends a copy of your progress whenever it changes: levels and stars, cards and their levels, deck, gold and gems, chests, tutorial steps, Endless Siege, along with the game version and the system (iOS or Android).
Why: to keep your game and move it to another phone with a transfer code (Settings › Online save).
Where and how long: on our server api.kingofbanners.com, hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak. We keep the last 10 saves. An account that does not connect for 25 months is deleted automatically, with everything attached to it.
Legal basis: the service you use (keeping your game). To erase everything: Settings › Online save › "Delete my online data". Your progress stays on your phone, the online save stops, and you can turn it back on later.
Online 1v1 duel
Duels use your anonymous game account: if you don't play duels, nothing below is sent. When you look for an opponent, the game sends your player name, your deck and your card levels, then, during the duel, the cards you play and where you place them. The duel runs on our match server, which passes the result on to our server.
What other players see: during the duel, your opponent sees your player name, your rating and your army. The season leaderboard shows every player the month's top 50: player name, rating points, league, wins and losses. Offensive names are replaced automatically, and you can change yours at any time in Settings. We may remove a player (cheating, inappropriate name).
What we keep: your rating (points, league, best rating, wins, losses, draws, number of duels, date of your last duel) and your duel rewards, attached to your game account. The summary of each duel (winner, duration, number of cards played, enemies defeated, gate health) is kept without any player name or account identifier, to balance the game. The match server's technical logs contain no player name and no account identifier.
Where and how long: on the same server, hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak. Your rating and rewards stay as long as your account exists and are erased with it. Duel summaries are deleted automatically after 25 months at most.
Legal basis: the service you request by starting a duel. "Delete my online data", in Settings, also erases your duel rating and rewards.
Game statistics, only with your consent
At first launch, the game asks whether you agree to send anonymous statistics. If you decline, nothing is sent or kept. You can change your mind at any time in the game's Settings.
If you agree, the game sends:
- a random identifier created by the game, linked neither to your device, nor to your Apple or Google account, nor to your identity, and the player name you can change in Settings;
- how your games go: levels started, wins, losses and quits, duration, number of attempts, cards played, Endless Siege runs (gates destroyed, cards and bonuses chosen), tutorial steps, chests opened, cards upgraded, gold and gems earned or spent, session length;
- technical information: device model, system version, memory, smoothness (frames per second), loading times, language and game settings (sound, reduced motion), game version.
Why: to balance the levels and improve the game's performance. This data is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking, and it is never sold or shared.
Where: on our server api.kingofbanners.com, hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak. Only the publisher has access.
How long: 25 months at most, then deleted automatically.
Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings. To erase statistics already sent: "Delete my online data" in Settings, or write to us with your player name.
Endless Siege world leaderboard, only with your consent
The Endless Siege mode has a world leaderboard. It is a choice separate from statistics, because your player name becomes public there: the game asks you at the end of your first run in this mode, and you can change your mind at any time in Settings. If you decline, no run is sent to the leaderboard.
If you agree, the game sends at the end of each Endless Siege run:
- a random leaderboard identifier created by the game, different from the statistics one and linked neither to your device, nor to your Apple or Google account, nor to your identity, and your player name;
- the result of the run: gates destroyed, duration, enemies defeated, zone reached, cards and bonuses of the run;
- the game version and the system (iOS or Android).
What every player sees: your player name, your number of gates and your time, on the weekly and all-time leaderboards. Offensive names are replaced automatically. We may hide an impossible score or remove a player from the leaderboard (cheating, inappropriate name).
Where and how long: on the same server as the statistics (api.kingofbanners.com, hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak), 25 months at most after each run, then deleted automatically.
Legal basis: your consent. If you withdraw it in Settings, no further run is sent. To remove runs already published from the leaderboard: "Delete my online data" in Settings, or write to us with your player name.
In-app purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their own rules: we never receive your payment details. When you buy something, our server receives the proof of purchase (transaction number, product, date), attached to your game account, checks it with Apple or Google, then credits your purchase exactly once. It is also used to handle refunds.
How long: for the legal retention period of accounting records, even if you erase your account (the proof is then no longer attached to any account).
Rewarded ads
The game offers optional video ads: you choose to watch one to get a reward (gold or a chest). There are no banners and no forced ads.
They are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). These ads are non-personalised: they are not chosen from your profile or your activity in other apps, and we do no cross-app tracking.
To show an ad, Google receives technical information from your device: device and advertising identifiers, IP address (which gives an approximate location), model and system, language, and your interactions with the ad. Google uses it to show the ad, limit how often it repeats, measure it and fight fraud (how Google uses this data). Our server only receives, in your save, the number of ads watched that day, to apply the daily limits.
Your choice: in Europe and the United Kingdom, the game asks for your consent at first launch with Google's form; you can change it at any time in Settings › "Ad privacy". Without consent, no ad is requested. You can also reset or turn off the advertising identifier in your phone's settings.
Legal basis: your consent where the law requires it; elsewhere, our legitimate interest in funding a free game.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no audience measurement. Like any web server, our hosting may keep technical logs (IP address, date, requested page) for security.
Support
If you write to us, we only use the information you send to answer you. Please don't send your full save file unless it is needed.
Your rights
You can erase your online data yourself in the game's Settings ("Delete my online data"). You can also ask to access, correct or delete the data we hold about you by writing to contact@kingofbanners.fr, and contact your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Updates
This policy will be updated before any new use of your data. Last updated: 18 October 2026 (rewarded ads).
